8:30 am – 9:10 am RegistrationNassau County Museum of Art, One Museum Road, Roslyn Harbor. Large parking lot, handicap available adjacent to Museum building
  • Light breakfast will be available on second floor

    9:10 am – 9:45 am Welcome

    9:45 am – 10:45 am – Tour: Nassau County Museum of Art, One Museum Road, Roslyn Harbor

  • 10:45 am – Leave for Cedarmere

    11:00 am – 11:45 am – Tour: Cedarmere & Cedarmere Mill, 225 Bryant Avenue, Roslyn Harbor Parking available in upper & lower parking lots (lower level lot is a 500-foot walk). A few handicap parking spaces are adjacent to building.

12:00 pm– 12:45 pm – Tour of the Waterfront at Roslyn, 55 Lumber Road
Parking spots have been reserved on the harbor side near the Viaduct.
  • Visit to an excellent example of a commercial adaptive reuse building. Viewing and demonstration of Howard Kroplick’s historic automobiles including: 1909 Alco Beast Racer that won the 1909 and 1910 Vanderbilt Cup Races, 1937 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron owned by Walter and Della Chrysler and a 1966 Shelby Mustang GT-350 H Hertz Rent-A-Racer

    12:45 pm – Stop and view the Roslyn Grist Mill on the way to Hendricks Tavern (lunch)
  • Parking lot available on Lumber Road to view back of the Mill


    1:00 pm – Lunch at Hendrick’s Tavern (site of President George Washington’s breakfast with Hendrick Onderdonk on April 24, 1790) - 1305 Old Northern Blvd., Roslyn – Valet parking available

    After Lunch Self-Guided Walking Tour of the Village of Roslyn
  • Walk or drive the historic Village of Roslyn. Tour the historic district and take note of the Roslyn Grist Mill, 1630 Van Nostrand Starkins House, the Mackay Horse Statue, historic homes down Main Street, the Roslyn Clock Tower and the historic homes along East Broadway and Gerry Park. A self-guided tour packet will be given with several historic home descriptions.
