The Bayport Heritage Association was formed in 1983 and is dedicated to the preservation of the history of Bayport. The association has an extensive collection of archival photographs, vintage clothing, artifacts and books. Through the years, the group has been particularly active in the restoration of Meadow Croft, a John Ellis Roosevelt summer home and now a historical museum on the border of Bayport and Sayville. The association provides lectures and resources- educational, historical, environmental and social programs and services for the community and interested public. In June 2018, Blue Point joined the Association to include both communities.

Meeting: January 10th, 2016


Sunday, Jan. 10th at 2pm 
in the Bayport Blue Point Public Library. 
Gene Horton will be giving a lecture and presentation for the Bayport Heritage Association's monthly membership meeting. 

"Sleeping in Suffolk" 
The program features some interesting information about people, famous and infamous, who are buried here in Suffolk County. Listen to Gene and learn about some of the unusual headstones and stories, quaint cemeteries, folklore, local history... an interesting way to start off the new year!
If you are not a member of the Bayport Heritage Association, you can still attend. 
Free admission!
We will have membership forms available. 
Yearly membership is just
$25 for family membership
$15 for individual
and $10 for seniors
